Good Riddance 2020!
The CoVid virus has turned the world on its ear, a pandemic not seen since 1918 when the Spanish Flu wreaked havoc and dismay around the four corners of Earth.
At first, many did not take the virus seriously, but I do not believe worldwide pandemics are Mother Nature at work but is something from the supernatural realm. Like many, I have spent a lot of time praying about this sudden change that came upon us; and I do not mean us as in U.S. but us as on the entire planet.
According to the Johns Hopkins website and the Worldometers.com site, 191 of the 195 countries in the world are suffering through this supernaturality. The U.S. death toll has climbed to 300,000+ as of today. Some do not believe those figures, but many science and medical groups around the world believe the figure is much higher.
According to the Center for Infectious Disease and Research policy:
The US may have had more than 6.4 million COVID-19 cases by Apr 18 instead of the 721,000 officially tallied by then, according to a new probability analysis in Nature Communications. The authors of the study said the model accounts for a lack of testing of asymptomatic and mild cases from Feb 28 to Apr 18, the first 6 weeks of the pandemic.
“Accounting for uncertainty, the number of infections during this period was 3 to 20 times higher than the number of confirmed cases. 86% (simulation interval: 64–99%) of this difference is due to incomplete testing, while 14% (0.3–36%) is due to imperfect test accuracy,” they said.
I think God has sent the world a message, maybe a shot-across-the-bow, hopefully. Might be into the bow.
The Bible when read in its entirety, pretty much lays out the plan for the world created by God, and its end as we know it. Psalms declares that the world (planet) will never be destroyed; but there is a change a coming.
Similarities
In the beginning, mankind had it made. Living in paradise, all the fruits and veggies man could ever want, great climate, no sickness, no death, kind of heaven on Earth. We are not sure how long it stayed that way.
God gave Adam and Eve only 1 law to follow in order to keep their living arrangement in paradise. He gave them a choice. They could choose God’s way, a conservative route; or they could break the 1 rule and lose paradise. It was all about conservatism or liberalism. Even today, conservatives, as a rule, believe deeply in the God of the Bible even though they cannot follow all the rules. That is why they ask for forgiveness.
On the other hand, they could choose to not follow the 1 rule and gain the knowledge of good and evil. At this point, they only knew good and had never sinned.
Do you think it is possible that Satan and God had a conversation, much as they did in the Book of Job? I can hear it now.
“Of course Adam and Eve love you. Why would they not? You give them everything they want. I will guarantee You that You have made their lives too easy; and I can seduce them to that tree, the one that they will think makes them like You. Their loyalty is based on Your gifts to them.”
Satan did tempt Eve, she succumbed and then Adam; and you know the rest of the story. God was not happy, and mankind has paid a price ever since that day. Liberalism is a lot more fun and easier than the conservative way, only that turned out to be untrue.
Cyndi Lauper’s song, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, could be applied to mankind as a whole. We just want to have fun, if it feels good-do it; sex, drugs and rock and roll.
Similarly, we have Job. He too attempted to achieve sinlessness and thought he had succeeded. He was the Godliest man in the land; and God had been generous, like He was with Adam and Eve.
Job had it made, according to Job 1:2-3
He had seven sons and three daughters, and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East.
God took on this contest between good and evil, and I am sure He knew the outcome. Satan had his way with Job and the results were disastrous. He lost his children and all his livestock, all of his wealth and health. But unlike Adam and Eve, Job never lost faith in the Lord. He asked God to take his life, pleading that he wished he had never been born; but he still maintained that God was not a myth. He stood his ground. And unlike Adam and Eve, he was greatly rewarded.
After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. 11 All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in his house. They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble the LORD had brought on him, and each one gave him a piece of silver[a] and a gold ring.
The LORD blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. 13 And he also had seven sons and three daughters. 14 The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch. 15 Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.
Job 42:10-15
Two stories with different endings.
Many of my Christian friends, too many, wonder how a Christian could ever vote for Donald Trump; but I wonder what kind of Christian could support the Party of Abortion, gay marriage, and monetary rewards to women having illegitimate children, considering what God had to say about these choices.
As flawed a Christian as Donald Trump has been portrayed to be, God sent us a choice. Conservative or liberal? Our choice. Trump came to clean the political swamp in the United States, and the swamp would have none of it. And apparently, 50% of our once Christian population likes the swamp better. Girls just want to have fun.
God knew that we would not choose to get back to the morality the country was founded upon, the morality of the Founders who claimed us a Christian nation. An example, The Paris Peace Treaty of 1783:
The Paris Peace Treaty was the document which formally ended the Revolution and granted the United States independence from Great Britain. In a real sense, the United States formally became a nation on September 3, 1783.
When the United States became a nation, it was done in the “name of the most holy and undivided Trinity.” The preamble to this Treat states it is based upon the “Holy and undivided Trinity.” The concept of the Holy Trinity is unique to Christianity. This statement means the United States was founded on the Christian faith. The complete Preamble follows:
“In the name of the most holy and undivided Trinity”
The Treaty then ends just like the Constitution with a statement it is being signed in the “Year of our Lord.” The witnesses representing the United States were John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, John Jay and D. Hartley. The section in part follows:
“In witness whereof we the undersigned, their ministers plenipotentiary, have in their name and in virtue of our full powers, signed with our hands the present definitive treaty and caused the seals of our arms to be affixed thereto. Done at Paris, this third day of September in the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and eighty-three”
Read more proof that America was founded as a Christian Nation here
“Providence has given our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as privilege and interest, of a Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.”
~ John Jay
(1745-1829) first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, First President of the United States – preceding George Washington, one of three men most responsible for the US Constitution.
Has Providence given us the choice of our rulers?
We made the choice as a nation. We just want to have fun and will take the swamp.
Joe Biden claims to be a Christian, like so many in the liberal churches of the day; but he is neck high in corruption with foreign countries, is pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, pro LGBT, pro-everything that God said He was against. But still a Christian?
Trump on the other hand, has been Israel’s best friend; and by doing so, he is America’s best friend. We just fired the country’s best and hardest-working employee, and he is working for free. We decided to replace him for the ultra-swamp, in spite of the fact that he kept most of his campaign promises, unlike other presidents.
How many presidents campaigned that they would move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem? What president is the only president to recognize Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel? What president recognized the Golan Heights as Israeli territory? What president took on China, Russia and N Korea? What president is bringing the troops home from war instead of starting war? What president has appointed a Supreme Court that may reverse the legal murder of children? I could go on.
God is talking to us in the U.S. He sent us a King David (also flawed) who we rejected for the swamp. And Joe has been the swamp for over 40 years. A few examples:
Joe Biden, September 2019:
“We didn’t lock people up in cages. We didn’t separate families. We didn’t do all of those things, number one. They did.”
Note: Not true. All those cages seen on the news were from 2014. Trump was not president in 2014.
Biden claimed he was arrested with Joe Mandela in Soweto in the ‘70s.
Note: Absolutely false and Biden later confessed to such.
August 7, 2019:
Biden claimed Trump “asserted that immigrants would ‘carve you up with a knife’.”
Note: Not true. Trump was referring to the MS13 sex trafficking gang.
September 3, 2019:
Referring to the Iraq War in an NPR interview said: “… immediately, the moment it started, I came out against the war at that moment.”
Note: Not true. Biden supported the war and voted so.
May 22, 2020:
“The NAACP has endorsed me every time I’ve run.”
Note: Not true. NAACP has never endorsed a candidate.
And how about this quote:
“I went to law school on a full academic scholarship, the only one in my class who had a full academic scholarship. The first year of law school, I decided I didn’t want to be in law school and ended up at the bottom two-thirds of my class. And then I decided I wanted to stay, went back to law school and, in fact, ended up in the top-half of my class. I graduated with three degrees from undergraduate school.”
Note: Every claim is false.
Joe went on from just plain lying to plagiarism and has been caught in several plagiarism scandals.
I wonder what God thinks about us rejecting a flawed Christian (aren’t we all) leading us back to the morality of yesteryear; and instead we voted in the swamp and the swampy cabinet he is putting together.
Do you think God has about had it with us?
Like Job, God blessed the founders of the country and the Judeo-Christian influenced laws they pronounced. He made us the most influential and powerful Christian nation in the world, a shining light on a hilltop. We became mighty, won the wars we faced, had the smartest kids in the world, greatest college graduates and entrepreneurs. Then in 1962 we kicked Him out of school. It has been down hill since that SCOTUS ruling.
And here we are today. Wish we could say, “Goodbye 2020,” but I have a feeling 2021 will be worse. Now that we have really ticked God off.
Pray hard as the swamp leads us down the Road to Perdition. It was predicted. It had to happen. And like Job, many may be wishing they hadn’t been born by the time it’s over.
